Fravizel has since 2011 been part of the PME Inovação (SME Innovation) network promoted by COTEC PORTUGAL – Business Association for Innovation.
The R&D Department works on a daily basis to solve our clients' problems and to develop the sectors in which we operate.
Fravizel is strongly aware that knowledge is needed in order to innovate, so that it can question what it does, how it does it, how to be prepared for change, and to be able to anticipate the opportunities for improvement and/or development of new technologies, which ultimately form its product portfolio.
Being a metalworking company, its characteristics are quite specific, seeing that most of its activities relate to the production of equipment used in other sectors (natural stone, forestry, construction, sea ports, mining, general industry).
In the natural stone sector, for example, innovation – in other words, new product, new processes, more speed of action, more productivity and competitiveness – depends on the capacity and development of upstream technologies. Given its nature and role in the development and dissemination of new technologies, Fravizel is currently the leader in terms of economic growth of natural stone extraction companies.
Environmental, safety, ergonomics and production speed issues are some of the key concerns of companies. Moreover, the life cycle of a "technology innovation" is decreasing, the timing for placing innovations on the market is shorter, and competition, in particular international competition, is increasing.
Due to all these factors, and because it has particular innovative characteristics, Fravizel constantly seeks to keep up with its client companies and satisfy their main requirements (do more, do better, using less, and with more safety). This can only be done through innovation.
