New system for exploiting eucalyptus stumps as raw material for pulp. Following the creation of this prototype, the company Fravizel found the need to build a complementary solution to the prototype developed, so it created a custom-made cutting head to couple with the STUMP4PULP solution. These systems are radically disruptive in global forestry, which enhances the exploitation of eucalyptus stump wood as a raw material for pulp production.
After the execution of the project, the two prototypes gave rise to two patent registrations, which led to the creation of STUMP4PULP +, within the basic conditions for projects of the typology in question, protection of industrial property rights. It should also be noted that the Project meets the policies defined by the European Union for the agroforestry sector, which strongly focus on the concept of circular economy, since the use of stumps for pulp production accompanies the transition to resource efficiency that redirects the focus to the reuse, repair, renovation and recycling of existing materials and products.
